openin.app vs OpeninApp

By Ish, founder, openin.app · Checked September 7, 2026

First, the thing the name makes confusing: openin.app and OpeninApp are not the same product and are not connected. Both do the same job — make a YouTube, Instagram or Spotify link open the real app instead of a social network’s built-in browser — and the rest of this page is about how they differ.

If you searched for OpeninApp and landed here, this is meant to be useful either way: a fair side-by-side, where each one is better, and how to move your links if you decide to.

  • A large existing user base and years of history.

Questions people ask

Is openin.app the same as OpeninApp?
No. They are different products from different companies, and neither is affiliated with the other. They happen to do the same job under nearly the same name.
Can I move my OpeninApp links to openin.app?
Yes. Paste the original destination — the YouTube video, Instagram profile or Spotify track — into openin.app and you get a new link in one step. Then replace the old link in your bio. There is no bulk import yet.
Will my old links stop working if I switch?
No. Switching does not touch links you already shared; they keep working for as long as the tool behind them does. New links simply go through openin.app.
Is openin.app free?
Yes. Unlimited links and clicks with no per-click charges. Pro is $4.99 a month or $39 a year and adds custom link names, full analytics, themes, branding removal and pixels.
